As a Senior Developer at Ambue Ltd, I architect and build production systems using .NET Core, Blazor, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL, solving complex problems in the PropTech and social housing sectors. This hands-on work follows my successful exit from SDS Ltd in 2023, a PropTech company I founded and led as CEO for over 20 years, building it into a market leader in the UK social housing market.

Transform-ER API
Architected and built a production-grade FastAPI service with PostgreSQL from the ground up, establishing the technical foundation for a core property transformation platform. Designed the entire data model, API contract, and system architecture to support scalable property assessment workflows. This greenfield project demonstrates end-to-end ownership of modern Python-based microservices, from database schema design through RESTful API implementation, delivering a robust platform that serves as the backbone for critical housing sector operations.
Transform-ER Prototype Refactor
Inherited a Flask prototype application and successfully re-engineered it into a production-ready system through comprehensive refactoring and stabilisation work. This transformation involved improving code quality, implementing proper error handling, optimising database queries, and establishing maintainable architecture patterns. Ambue Typology Service
Designed and developed a high-performance property classification system using FastAPI and PostgreSQL, enabling automated matching of housing stock to architectural typology archetypes at scale. The service processes large property portfolios and delivers intelligent categorisation that drives strategic asset management decisions. This project demonstrates expertise in building domain-specific algorithms, managing complex data relationships, and delivering performant APIs that handle significant data volumes for the PropTech sector.
Postal Address Matching Algorithm
Created a sophisticated fuzzy-matching algorithm capable of processing thousands of properties to reconcile incomplete or inconsistent address data against authoritative Ordnance Survey records. The solution balances accuracy with performance, handling real-world data quality issues while maintaining high throughput. This work showcases algorithmic thinking, understanding of data quality challenges in large datasets, and the ability to build practical solutions to complex matching problems that directly impact data integrity across property portfolios.
Excel/VBA Strategic Asset Management Model
Developed a comprehensive analytical tool for Scottish housing associations to evaluate portfolio performance and identify underperforming assets. CRM and Survey Booking Application
Architected and built a full-stack customer relationship management system from scratch using a modern technology stack: Next.js/TypeScript frontend with FastAPI/PostgreSQL backend, integrated with distributed microservices.
